High elves often wear gold to underline their noble position or simply to show that they can because they are superior.

BLACK ELVES – HIGH ELVES IN GOLD

Some of them resemble more animal or primal creatures than elves. The belief that high elves have the most delicate features among all elf varieties and castes is only partially correct. It is said that the creation of high elves involved the participation of two gods: Thielkanna, who is the most beautiful, delicate, and fair-haired being in the universe, and Rurgamul, who roughly resembles a cross between a monkey and a rat and is valued more for cunning, agility, and a cheerful spirit rather than beauty. Thus, elves may appear the same to outsiders, but upon closer examination, it becomes apparent that they can be as diverse as their creators were.

BLACK ELVES – GOLDEN ROYAL FAMILY

The worst decadence prevails in the royal family of high elves. The Thielonissos lineage, which only rose to power 200 years ago, already has the audacity to pilfer the most precious jewels from the royal treasury and adorn themselves with them recklessly. Overall, it must be admitted that, as typical nouveau riche, they exhibit an exceptional lack of style and refinement.

BLACK ELVES IN GOLD – LUXURY AND PRIVILEGES

There are rumors that King Ethiegoldien and his wife, Sluthenia, recently went mad upon discovering that their family had arranged a tennis match using royal emeralds instead of a ball. For someone who was tending pigs in the previous king’s pasture just a thousand years ago, and whose wife had to “work” as the high priestess of Thelkal the Gutsy just 300 years ago, such extravagance can make quite an impression.

And it was precisely the king’s indignation that became the subject of gossip during the last birthday ball of the queen. Among the elven aristocracy, a trend emerged of “dropping the emerald” and leaving it in place, with a clear suggestion that stooping down for such trifles was too pedestrian. “After all, I’m not some forest elf!” sighed many elven ladies as they passed by the jewel without a second glance.
