They presented an imaginative scenario where they suggested that Adam Weishaupt, the founder of the Bavarian Illuminati, kidnapped George Washington due to their physical resemblance. The Illuminati also provocatively and openly chose to place their organization’s emblem, the “Eye in the Pyramid,” as a symbol of their power over America, on the primary form of currency in the country, the one-dollar bill.

As the story unfolds, Shea and Wilson expanded on the conspiracy theories, weaving an intricate web of absurd connections and far-fetched ideas. They introduced the concept of the “Rule of Five,” proposing that by controlling five key individuals or groups, one could manipulate society covertly. This concept, although intentionally absurd, created a tantalizing scenario that was difficult to deny outright.

As a regular citizen, and even someone more experienced like a journalist, someone from outside the circle will never be able to uncover the full scope of the conspiracy. And that is all due to the fact that the global conspiracy is divided and exists within five independent entities, each with different characteristics.

By employing satire, the authors skillfully blended fact and fiction, blurring the lines between historical events and imaginative storytelling. Through their inventive narrative, they underscored the human tendency to search for patterns and hidden meanings, even in the most outlandish scenarios.

In an unexpected parallel, Miguel de Cervantes wrote “Don Quixote,” intending to ridicule the medieval idea of chivalry, yet inadvertently glorified the life of an errant knight. Similarly, “The Eye in the Pyramid” satirized conspiracies but unwittingly provided fodder for absurd arguments, feeding people’s paranoias. Both authors’ intentions clashed with the unintended consequences, as Cervantes’ critique of knighthood ended up glorifying it, while “The Eye in the Pyramid” unintentionally perpetuated conspiracy theories instead of debunking them.
